Saved on this computer only, because every printer is a little different.

Moves everything when printing, to fix a printer that prints off-centre. Negative numbers move left / up.

Setting up your badge printer

Each badge prints as its own page, sized exactly to the label you picked under Badge design → Badge size.

1. Match the size

• Pick the same stock you load in the printer (e.g. 4 × 3 in for most Zebra badge rolls, CR80 for PVC card printers, 62 mm for Brother DK rolls).
• Not listed? Choose Custom size, type the width and height in millimetres, then Save this size. Saved sizes appear in the list for every event.

2. In the print dialog (first time only)

• Printer: your badge printer.
• Paper size: the same label size. If it is missing, add it in the printer driver's settings (macOS: Manage Custom Sizes; Windows: printer Preferences → Page setup).
• Margins: None. Scale: 100% / Actual size. Headers and footers: off.
• Background graphics: on (otherwise colour bands won't print).

Chrome and Edge remember these settings, so after the first badge it is one click.

3. Thermal printers (Zebra, Dymo, Brother)

• Set Printer type to Black only: the header turns white so it doesn't waste the roll, and the type band prints solid black.
• Test with one badge first and adjust Text size if needed.

4. Set up the print area

• Click Print alignment test at the top of this page and print it on one badge.
• Margins: the rulers along each edge count millimetres in from that edge. The first number you can fully see is the smallest margin you need on that side.
• Off-centre? Measure how far the centre cross is from the real centre of the badge, and enter it under Shift right / Shift down above (negative for left / up). Print the test again to check. Margins are set per event under Badge design → Print area.
• Pre-printed badges: take a photo or scan of a blank badge, crop it to the edges, and upload it under Pre-printed badge stock. Untick the header and colour band (or switch to Custom layout), then place the text over the empty spaces.
• Custom layout: set Layout → Arrangement to Custom, then drag the name, company, QR code and so on wherever you want them.

Check-in at the door

• Press / and type a name. Click the person, then Print badge (or press Ctrl/⌘+P).
• Walk-in? Click + Add person and choose Save & print.
• The Status column shows who has already collected a badge.

Importing your list

• Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. The first row must be headers. Recognised columns: First name, Last name (or one Name column), Title, Company, Email, Type, ID. Arabic headers like الاسم, الجهة, الفئة also work.
• Re-importing an updated list updates existing people (matched by ID, then email, then name) and keeps their printed status.
• No ID column? One is generated for the QR code.

Photos

• One person: open Edit (or + Add person) and choose Upload photo, or Take photo to use the computer's camera at the check-in desk.
• Many at once: More → Add photos in bulk and select all the photo files. Name each file after the person's ID, email or full name, e.g. A1B2C3.jpg, sarah@acme.com.jpg or Sarah Johnson.jpg.
• From Excel: a Photo column with a web link (https://…) to each picture also works. The computer needs internet to print those.
• Turn photos on or off and pick the shape under Badge design → Content. In a Custom layout, tick Photo and drag it into place. Portrait badges leave the most room for a photo.

Events and your data

• Everything is saved online in MayadeenOPS. Every desk that has the event open sees new people and printed badges instantly (the green Live dot).
• New event: on the Events page, + New event. Choose Start from another event to reuse its badge design, and tick copy the attendee list to reuse its people too.
• Managers create events, design badges, import lists and manage the team. Desk staff search, add walk-ins, take photos and print.
